rrrr Yes, I have learned so much here on this site that I could not have learned without it. It is people like you that give the details of what you did, how you did it, and what the result was that make it fun for me to learn more about it.
Did you notice much torgue loss with the new tires? How would you think it would effect it pulling a heavy trailer? I am looking into the 395's but am still asking questions before I make the plunge.
CC,
This was a great read. I had to read it from start to finish. I am thinking of doing an extended cab with no extra doors. everything should be straight forward except for the roof. could you tell me how you curved the sides of the new roof to match the exsisting roof? What guage sheet...
gimpyrobb, thanks I didn't know they were already flipped on the A3.
is it because the bead doesnt match or what is the problem with doing that? I have read that some say the tires would be too close together others say they do it just fine.

Could you explain what you mean by flipping the hubs. I assume you mean the hub that the wheel bearings ride on but I am not sure. I am looking to buy an A3 and want to put 395's on it to get 60mph out of it. I have been reading alot about this and everyone seems to say different...

thanks i read that thread and some others also. it does look like a 900 series truck would fit my needs better. but it sounds like there was a differece betwwen the USMC trucks are different than a normal one. if anyone knows about this could you please give me some info on it.

I found this thread to be the most interesting one I have read so far. I am very interested in what you do moose. I too want almost the same thing you do. I need to haul my 28 foot toyhauler with a 2200 lb sandrail inside so it weighs in at about 11000 fully loaded and I want to take down...

I am having the same problem. Where did you get the front seal? and do you have a part number? did you replace the oil pan gasket also and if so where can I get those parts. I am starting to suspect that I might have a fuel leak into the crank case. I don't have any idea where to...
Does this sound like it is just out of adjustment? If so could you tell me how to adjust right? I have a asphalt driveway that is about 150 feet long and curved and every time I drive this truck I have to back down and around a corner so if it is always going to be a problem because of the...
