Thanks Iceman. I`ll look into those.
You did this correct? Do you get the extra top speed I have heard about? Would anything else play a part in doing that? Thanks again,
Hi
I`m looking to get a little extra oomph out of my stock 85 m998.
The 700R4 swap seems to do that but I just wanted some opinions.
My H1 mechanic will be doing the work on the m998 - so I have to source the parts and want to see if you guys have thoughts on what parts I should be...
Hi
Just wondering if the front and rear x door window assembly's are the same? Don't have access to my m998 to check and I`ve got opportunity to by a new assembly.
Thanks
I downloaded the TM and looked over the documents page on hmmwvinscale.
Ive been through the TM and I cant see an exploded diagram of the m998 with parts list. I see ebay sellers use diags to sell parts but I`m not seeing them in the TM. Perhaps I missed them or are they in another document...
And do you leave the anodized finish?
I have stripped the paint from mine - the inside part is scratch free but the exterior has lots of fine scratches - so I`ll paint outside and leave interior bare metal.
so whats the vote on painting the handles black or painting them green with the door?
hi, ive been looking around for this tie down for a crew curtain. The pic is not of my humvee. This one is far too tidy :D
anyone have any idea where to source?
thanks
What I mean is which bits are black and which are green?
I`m painting the xdoors on my m998 and wondering if the handles are matt black or green on a factory m998.
I can only find photos of older vehicles that have been through lots of painting after leaving the factory. Anyone know or have...
thanks
one more question. I have overspray on the rubber seal running around the edge of the door. whats the best way to celan this off without damaging the rubber?
Thanks
Hi
I`m not certain what the doors are made of. Is it fiberglass or some sort of mix?
My question is is it ok to sandblast for painting or do I have to sand it down?
Thanks
