Here is a pic of the hose I thought was leaking. The air is coming from the black painted relief tip right next to the coolant hose. Not sure what you call this piece but the air line goes from it to the fan clutch. It constantly blows air even when I shut the motor off till it bleeds all of the...
Yea it was rebuilt in 2012. Is this supposed to be air or water! What would make the fan clutch rattle? No water ever came out of the hose just air. It never over heated either.
I have a 91 923. Today I drove it and noticed when I had started it, it made a rattling noise from around the radiator. I figured it was a fan clutch seeings how when I drove it the fan was engaged the entire time. Once I stopped and shut it off, I hear air blowing from around the fan shroud. It...
Well I previously had a 52 Studebaker Deuce and a Half about a yr ago and I have missed it since. So I was given the option to purchase a 5 ton from a good friend and couldn't resist. Its a 1991 AmGeneral with a rebuild date of 2012. Currently has about 1600 miles on the Cummins diesel. Truck...
I had problems with my flasher a couple of months ago and had to replace it. It did the same thing working intermittently. I found a 24V flasher at Napa and it works perfect now. Flasher is only $25. If anyone is interested in a part number let me know. I've been using it about 2 months now and...
Mine is a 1952 Studebaker M35A2. Government rebuild in 2008. Hercules multi fuel with D turbo and air shift transfer case. You will find plenty of pictures of it in my photo gallery.
Flasher is made by Grote. Napa part #263-4. I didn't cut my original plug. I just spliced into the wires and taped everything up but all original equipment is still there. The flasher from napa is a 3 wire plug. Signal, load, and intermittent light which could be a light on the dash or a buzzer...
I read your post when I was searching for the problem with my blinkers not working. Any idea what causes the lights to flash for a few seconds then quit.
Ok so if anyone wants to know a cheap fix for the flasher, I went to Napa and ordered a 24 volt 3 prong flasher installed it today and it works perfect. Only $25 fix also. The 3 blades on the flasher were for signal, load, and notification light. Only the signal and load will need to be wired...
Well I got the LED's to work. I had to use the old halogen bulb buckets with the new light and new ring. The led complete kit wouldn't work without some modification.
OK so I bypassed the fdc yesterday and definitely a huge difference. I can't believe how quick the rpms build now. Definitely need to install the pyrometer now to be on the safe side. Thanks for everyone's input.
I haven't noticed any binding in the wiper arms. I took the wiper motor off yesterday and this time it busted the square side of the output shaft. Not sure if its repairable this time.
I am having a problem with my wiper motor. This will be the second time it has sheered the bolt off of the output shaft. Has anyone encountered the same problem or know of a fix. The electric wipers were military installed before it was auctioned.
