It has come to our attention that scammers may be trying to sell "Hillbilly Wizard parts" by reaching out with @gmail.com or other non legitimate emails here on the steel soldiers forum. Their goal is to capitalize on a business with a good reputation and collect the money fraudulently. We...
We appreciate the mention. Yes, we have the used harness. We do go through them an make sure they are good to go. It's not uncommon to make some professional repairs to a harness before sending it out because a perfect original is almost unheard of at this point. Here is the link for...
Bad news if someone finds this thread looking for the stud I was looking for... But here was my solution. Bought a stud with the large knurl and machined it into the stud I needed.
Thanks, but I already tried there. Dorman doesn't make them, tried a few other places too. I can't even find the P/N because from what I see they weren't put in the -34P manual.
Hoping one of you gents might have the answer to my problem... M1028A3 or M1028A2 dually adapters used a 5/8-18 stud (not the studs in the hub, but the studs in the adapter) with a very large knurl about .868" to .870"
Does anyone know where to find this stud or even a P/N? I need just one...

Fellow CUCV enthusiasts:
Wow, what a pleasant surprise when logging on and checking threads on SS. We don't always get time to be on the forum but we do strive hard daily to be sure every one of our customers gets the best value and a great product from Hillbilly Wizard. Thanks for being a...
Here is the kit we use, we've had good luck with it. We install a new kit with any injector or pump work that we do. http://www.hillbillywizard.com/cucv-and-k30-parts/injector-install-kit/
Thanks for the comments.
SSDVC, The winch mount was through DIY 4x4.
For the M1010 above we installed a 5" lift. We had to do surgery on the ambulance body. We removed and reinforced the aluminum body to incorporate the fenders.

No, won't work at all. We have helped many customers with DRW setups. Its already been mentioned in this thread but you'll need the dually hubs in front (or the military conversion from the M1028A2/A3) The back axle is a little tougher if you don't want to run a spacer. The inner dual will...
I have found the newer pumps to have an additional line on them that returns turbo oil to the crankcase. It can be plugged and they can be used on the CUCV 6.2.
As already mentioned, a properly equipped original CUCV uses the isolated ground alternator in both positions. The solid pulley will work but are slightly smaller. We have rebuildable alts as well as refurbished units available.
We use and supply energy suspension bushings. Highly recommend doing this, those front bushings can be the source of deathwobble and poor handling. They are the same as a K30.
