Tower Gray
I got home for 3 days and got busy. First I had to drive to the ranch and pick up the Deuce. Had a long 4.5hr meet and greet as I drove it home, everything went well and had a great time.
As soon as the sun rose, I was cleaning and prepping for the paint job. We went with "Tower...
could you post the part number for the correct shim? Do you have pictures of your install? From reading the posts I thought that this would be a specific 1 piece wedge, but what is available on O's website they are 50 pcs
yeah I have no intention on going through with the digi-cammo, that would be a huge undertaking. I'm sure a wrap company could do it, but where is the fun in that?
I'm waiting on Rapco to email me about the FS36118 since its not on their site. If not through them, I'll order the SW Acrylic...
I've narrowed the gray down to FS36118 now I just have to find a place to buy it from. Millspeccoatings has the exact stuff but will be very pricey to ship 5 gallons (if that's even enough to do the job).
Digi cammo a deuce?? Haha thats making a lot of work into a metric TON of work! I agree that would be amazing though. I'll get the base coat ready for it so if I have an unlimited amount of time in the future, I can finish the job.
I am really digging the grey. Not as plain as all flat...
Gray Deuce Exterior Finished
I'm having a hard time deciding what paint scheme to go with for my deuce.
I was wanting to go with Gunship grey with black accessories but wondering how hard its going to be to find a black tarp.
These first two are the aircraft with the grey that I have in mind...
How about a Wylie Coyote style trap for any opportunistic thief... shotgun and string anyone? Load it with rock salt for less lethal purpose. [thumbzup]
now these wheels
Ok I think I have the plain jane 5ton wheel or are these the FMTV or what?
Looking to put these on my duece with adapters if some are available or buy new wheels possibly a3 wheels or some from 100DollarMan or C&C.
so now my task is to get the tires to fit on the truck... kicking around the idea of adapters, but will most likely buy M35a3 wheels and be done with it. I am trying to figure shipping right now for 6 wheels to Tejas. I guess I'll still need to flip the rear hubs.
Then lots of paint!
Been tired of using my buddies sign-on just to see everyones pictures. Its a great site but without the pictures its just a bunch of people complaining about the search function!! JK- enough venting of frustration.
Just got a '68 M35A2 from a local guy after very little debate with myself...
I have been on for some time (several weeks), and cannot post or reply without consent, its been several weeks... how long does this process have to take?
I would like to get in touch with some of the locals in my area, and am unable to use this forum.
Hooks TX has a mass of 395/85's and 11NDT tires coming up for auction. only bad thing is, they used one general photo for them so you should go check them out. I just got 6 barely used Michelin 395/85's for 515. Looking for adapter plates or hub conversions right now to be able to mount them...
Picked up a set of 6 of these and am starting to search for adapters or plates. Keep this thread updated.
I think Mike929 made hub adapters, currently trying to get in touch with him.
Hey fellas,
just want to say hello and ask that a moderator finalize my user account so I may see all the helpful photos on yer posts.
I just bought my truck and will be getting to know it thoroughly when I get home. But while at work I'm doing as much reading as I can on this here forum and...
