    M170 Driver and Passenger Seats/Frames

I have tried to do that with someone a few years ago. I took a lot of pics of the medic bottom but it didn't work out. It's one of those deals where there are a lot of radius's and off sets that you really need a sample to form to. It could be done but it is hard to describe with a tape...

    M170 Driver and Passenger Seats/Frames

I have two M170's. I can tell you they are hard to find parts for. Seats, stretcher brackets, spare tire bracket and any ambulance gear is tough. Bows can be had from Ron Fitzgerald parts (G503.com). The recent M170 inquiries are all looking for seats. I have never heard of anyone making the...

    Semigloss/Satin black finish

Black is original frame This has been brought up several times on different sites. The gist is that the frame was built and painted black. Green was sprayed over the black by the factory when assembling the Jeep. Some theorized that the sub assemblies were made in the same area as civilian...

May be looking at another M38a1 - need assistance

M38a1 I look at it and say roughly 500.00 to sandblast and a paint job. Lots of mechanical work but it has most of the parts. Tubs come off easy. If they look decent they want 3-4000.00. Alot of the time it is just like this with a quicky paint job over bondo and running but rough. It is a...

    stering wheel dip stick?

Dipstick I personally got a big kick out of this. I mean really this had to be a joke from the start. I think everyone is being jerked around here. Not only was the post hillarious but the testy followup "social media" thing just got me rolling. Dipstick LOL. To add: this guy has 278 posts...

Non directional tires on a civilian Jeep

I have them on my my rigs and I am absolutely confident of them. They use the same process as when they were made originally. The cores are all matched and they wear very well. I have taken vacation trips with them, aired down and wheeled very rough terrain have never had any problems. And no I...

Non directional tires on a civilian Jeep

I use these 31-10.50R15-GUARD-DOG-M-T - Retread Tires from TreadWright, Inc. and they have been fantastic. They last like iron take very little to balance and look great. At 89.00 each for an aggressive mud tire you can't beat them. I run them on everything I have (dodge diesel 4x4 & jeep...

    M170 New Pictures

Passenger door area Looks great. I am wondering if the strap on the passenger side by the door area is strapped to the axe strap footman loop versus the more forward one for the top. They are side by side in the door sill area. It looks a little off.

    M38a1 ground strap question

Wrong side. Clean it up you might be suprised. It is suppose to mount on the back side of the motor support and route to the back motor mount hole. Yours looks to be on the wrong side of the motor support. large star lock washers are what clamps it down. The star cuts the paint to give good...
