    painting over carc

It’s held up very well in the interior. I don’t know what other liners are out there. I will say Raptor is a 2 part component mix. Meaning you mix a hardener with it. I wouldn’t waste your time with any rattle can “bed liner”.

I used the paint gun that came with the Raptor kit that I purchased.

    Tacom gauges

Has anybody had any experience with the Tacom branded replacement gauges? I’m in need of a fuel gauge. I just ordered a NOS oil pressure gauge, but not sure how long that will last. Some of the NOS gauges seem to be problematic from what I’ve read. Thanks

New guy here: wondering why folks convert to super singles?

One other thing that I didn’t see mentioned above. The original dual wheel setup on the m939 will have inner tubes and a lock ring on the wheel. The singles will be tube less. As long as bubba didn’t own the truck before you.

    painting over carc

Not sure if this helps you. I applied raptor liner to the inside of my cab. At first I started to sand the carc. I realized that all I was doing was removing the rough texture that would help adhere the Raptor liner. I pressure washed first. Then addressed any peeling paint. Next I wiped it down...

    M939/LMTV/FMTV Air dryer replacements/upgrades

Pardon my ignorance, but what are the advantages from going from the haldex pure dryer to the haldex purest dryer? Are parts just getting harder to get on the older air dryers? Thanks

Is it safer to wear seatbelts, or not?

I would think your chances of living are higher wearing a seat belt vs not wearing one. Let’s say for example you are involved in a head on collision with your fmv. The vehicle that hit you was a lot smaller. Your chances of getting ejected out of the vehicle are pretty high. Due to physics, no...

Sandblasted metal prep before Behr paint

I will be painting my deuce with Behr paint soon. The bed and the cab have Carc on them. They will require minor sanding and priming in small areas. However I will have to sandblast my hard top. Also I have an unpainted NOS outer windshield frame that is raw steel. Once I sandblast and epoxy...

    My Swiss cheese floor...

If there’s that many holes in the floor, I would learn how to weld aluminum and weld them up.

I’m contemplating the same thing Ramdough. I have to make that decision soon. Are you using Behr paint? Search for member buffalobwana. He painted his m923a2 in satin.

M939 Quick Fuel Filter and Pump Re-Prime After Changing Cartridge Element

Are you asking what the Cummins part number is for the fuel pump with the primer bulb on it? If so it is 4988749.

    Shooting with Rapco- Tips?

I personally would hold out and wait for this stuff to pass. Or suit up and get some Behr paint. The Behr seems to be what everyone is going to.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

That is my plan. Hate to throw sheet metal parts away. They obviously don’t make this stuff anymore

What did you do to your deuce this week?

It’s has a lot of rust around the passenger side rocker panel. Also once I removed the dash, I found a lot of rust at the top of cab on the interior. I also have a bed I removed that I was selling with some rust. But it’s all about logistics when you try and sell some of these larger parts.
