I use Rotella 15-40. If you stay with a higher quality of motor oil, you shouldn't have to worry about the changing it as much. I also have spin on oil filters which does a better job of filtering the oil.
Has anyone had an oil analysis done between different oils?
How close is this guy to you? He has ALOT of parts and he can probably help you.

You can also magetize the drill and tap and that will further reduce the number of metal that reaches the turbo. However, it only takes a small amount of metal to distroy the turbo.
