Yeah, black beauty is a blast media. Its made of furnace slag, or some random thing. I believe its carbon based rather than silica based. It's much less of a health risk.
Well, a few weeks ago my M109 sold. The guy drove it 190 miles home. Other than the intake flame heater springing a leak before he even left my yard, he had no issues on the way home.
I'm trying to get my yard cleaned up to the point where I can finally get to work on swapping over my drop...
Holy cow. That's one fubar'd axle.
Glad you were able to navigate the "excitement" without anyone getting hurt. Hope you have enough left to fix the steering.
You might be able to go back after the insurance since additional damage has been found. Just need to figure out how to prove its...
That's what I thought. I just replaced my fuel filters. Up next is oil and oil filters. Then I'll be doing the bypass because I think I'm starting to see some fuel in my oil.
I'll have to get some gages when money allows. For now, I'll just stay well out of the throttle. The truck doesn't...
There are a number of choices in any smartphone's "app store" for G Force meters or accelerometer readouts. Since almost any modern smartphone has a surprisingly good 3 or 6 axis accelerometer.
It may not be as well calibrated as a 1400 or even 250 dollar unit, but it should give you a very...

My M35A2 has the sticker on the oil filter saying the FDC has been bypassed, but it...
We have a "truck parts" shop called FleetPride. It was $18 there. Wasn't worth shopping online at that price. The elbow was a little spendy at $40. I could have gotten stainless elsewhere for close to the same.
As for the orientation of the flap, I have it not fully facing back, but...
Took a page out of RustyStud's book and redid my exhaust with an elbow, short section of flex, and a stack flap.
Trying to get the truck ready for a little show this weekend. Not sure if I'll make it.
I just found the truck you are looking at in craigslist. I'd say that's a great deal. The tires are worth close to the asking price, and the drop-side bed is a must-have.
There's also a guy in middle TN with a complete rear spring/dogbone assembly for sale on the classifieds here. I'm sure he has more than one part you'll need, aside from the axles.
