The traffic on the highway has the right of way. They should not be slowing down to accommodate drivers that don't know how to merge.
Driving in the Charlotte, NC metro area will show you what happens when you have overly "polite" drivers in a congested area.

Reading the NSN for my USMC M109A3, it specified W/W and Deep Water Fording kit.
However, the winch and PTO were removed before being made available to the public. It still has the PTO control hatch that allows the handle to come up through.
By the lot number, its a '68 model.
That's quite the video. I tend to take a little extra burst of speed when passing large trucks. I try to give them a wide berth when merging, passing, etc. One time this bit me, as I made a decision to use the right hand pedal to give me more room when merging on a truck, rather than drop...

I recently disconnected my buzzer in favor of a red LED pilot...

Yesterday I figured out why my alt isn't charging. Hopefully have a rebuildable alt coming to me soon.
Someone posted a nice pic to the FB group of a truck all done up with hundreds of green christmas lights. Not sure if its the same truck or not, but I'm betting it is.
I guess I should have been more clear. The first part of my comment was about cavitation in general. But I made exactly your point in the body of my comment.
