In CO yeah sounds about right but you can shop around. I know our shop is $135 but we are in a smaller area so we can’t charge that much.

If it’s a new transmission it has to learn the shift schedules. How many miles have you gone with the new trans in. Also is it a brand new trans, reman or rebuilt?

You can go on the website and there’s a service locator. You can also call them and they will tell you the closest one. There’s different level shops also. Some shops are certified maintenance level shops and the others are full rebuild shops. For the most part either one should be able to diag...
Don’t think it’d be a hose swapped. Since the ones I’ve worked on have all been supply in and one hose out. So it’s just an on/off sort of thing. I haven’t worked on the LMTV/FITB though so I can’t say for sure how that works.

That’s why I was wondering if the wrong solenoid was in there. It may be set so that when In “mode” the fan is set to lock on since you may be driving through rough terrain causing the engine to work harder. So if the solenoid was backwards then it’s operating as it should but opposite of what...
Yeah the normal operation is supposed to be 30% power to the front wheels and 70 to the rear in normal mode. Then of course in mode it’s 50/50.
The fans not too hard to diag so I’m sure it won’t be too hard.

Wow sorry to the op for that little temper tantrum. Don’t ignore him he does have some good points. One thing to add to his in case it’s not obvious. He mentions checking continuity, I’m assuming he means checking continuity on the solenoid itself not the harness. Since I guess he’s ignoring me...
Always, I haven’t been on here in almost a year. Plus you can use your brain also instead of being condescending to the op since we all know the vehicle has all time 4x4.

So they do have them. I ask because you can get different solenoids that are normally open or closed so if he unplugs it and the fan stops someone may have replaced it with the wrong one. Also can check for power at the solenoid to see if it has power or not.

Clean off the engine. Refill the oil and run the engine in your yard and then look for where the oil is coming from.

Gotcha thanks for clarifying. Wasn’t trying to offend anyone was just curious. We are a meritor dealer where I work but not very familiar with the military axle sets. If I can gather some part numbers I can talk to our meritor rep and see if he can come up with some part numbers.
