Yes, Full 6x6 disc brakes. I removed the bed yesterday to install rear lockers. I will be working on it again thurs and will be able to get read good pics with bed removed.
I did get the brakes to bleed up and have they been working fine since. No problems. I put a locker in the front with new seals and bearings. Much easier to work on as opposed to drums. I am using stock MC. I found out why the truck was wrecked. Passenger wheel nut backed off, broke...
I am looking for deuce parts: drivers axle excluding u joint, drivers knuckle assembly, front axle seal retainers, seals, bearings. Also have 11 10.00 x20 power king mud grip tires and tubes for sale or trade for winch. tires are 95% with no dry rot.
My inside drivers doorhandle works fine, but the outside handle is not moving the latch. I started taking it apart today. The handle itself looks fine-does not appear to be stripped. Is it safe to say I need a new internal mechanism. Anyone ever replaced one?
Nevermind. I just found Major...
I have some new 395's that I want to try out. I am planning on being at the SS rally in October, but if you ever want another truck to go along with you I am only 45 min. from DT. Had a blast at last yrs rally.
I have a 55 Gasser and need parts also. Have not had much success. Have you tried the want ad section here? I am looking for a carb, exhaust manifold and some other items. I ran a want ad here a while back and found someone with a carb. but got busy with my multi-fuel and never followed up...
Yeah, I didnt drive with the washers. I just had the front axle jacked up for easy steering. I was in the process of looking for m135 rims tonight. Do they have the same "look" as the deuce rims? I just hate to dismount/remount the 395's.
I thought about the wheel centers as well, but they are only 7/16 thick. I put longer studs on my hub and added washers and even put nuts on first, then the rim, then the regular lug nut to get an idea of how much clearance I would need. I need at least 1 1/4 " to avoid rub. To add insult to...
That sounds like a feasible idea, similar to what I proposed in the original post. Gimpy said he did something similar but he broke off 4 studs en route. I even looked at putting spacers between the steering box and the frame to bring the tire rod in closer to the outer frame and away from the...
