all seems good enough to me. just brainstorming if I can improve since they will check alignment. they only do front and rear toe.
but as I understand, toe changes when camber is changed so I'd like to make any changes to camber before.
yup, my...
by adding a shim only to the rear bucket of the control arm will I decrease caster angle?
my left side is close to zero but the right is over 1degree.
I'm thinking about adjusting camber so I thought I might try to improve castor also. not sure if either makes sense since the thinnest shim will...
do you have any of those shims left? I'm lookin to just add a layer in the front.
my rear camber is still super positive but the front is slightly(not enough to see) negative.
camber lookin good.
did you see my post about what i found out to be the cause of problem with turning one of my radius rods?
it’s a bit long winded but i had to get my frustration out. still waiting for a new radius rod...
did you get it back together? how is it without shims? was your camber the same on both sides?

the bolts look like they were made yesterday.
frame paint looks perfectly preserved.

at least now I know approximately what to expect from shim thickness.
My TM pdf does not let me search, may be because I'm using a MAC?
source of screenshots is...

The alignment "specialist" at the shop went at mine with great enthusiasm but after partially undoing a few nuts was overwhelmed and gave up. said if they had all day they would tackle it. one of the fears was that they might snap...
Thanks Milcommoguy.
I understand curb weight and Gvrw.
My hope was that there might be some kind of shim chart for approximately how much change to expect from certain thicknesses of shims at factory curb weight.
but I guess trial and error it will be!
Btw, just got back from alignment visit...
does anyone know where in the TMs(or elsewhere) i can find info on shims and specifically how much change in camber the different thicknesses will produce?
ive searched a bit but haven’t found any info on it yet.
only toe adjustment so far
