I went with the doubler basiclly due to cost... as i have approx $1500 in my setup as to $4500 for an AtlasII transfercase with the same ratio and features as mine just in a smaller package. Full range in either running 2 wheel front or rear axle High, low , Double Low or full 4 wheel with the same High, low , double low.. ( double low ratio is 3.92 ) all is gear driven, no chains or belts to break or slip.

How do you plan on using the reduction from a 241 for a doubler?

Dave you cute the 241 in half. Various vendors sell 241 kits now for using as a doubler.
