12.00R20 dualed?

Hello everyone,

I've done a lot of searching but I could find very little info on running 12.00R20 tires on a deuce. I'd like to remain dualed, does any one know if I can run them?

Yes. They are 44in tall. No clearance issue on duals

Is there a taller all terrain dually tire than the g177?

Something to match the 395 in height?

In short - on stock wheels, dualled, 12.00R20 are too wide to be run within spec. You **may** be able to mount them as duals and they **may** not rub on each other, inflated to spec and running without a load in the bed, and they **may** not rub on the trunnion (although already pretty tight with 11.00R20). Whether any of that is DOT legal is another question.


11.00R20 are about 11.8 in wide (299mm)
12.00R20 are about 12.2 in wide (390mm)

The minimum dual spacing:


for 11.00R20 is about 13.2 inches
for 12.00R20 is about 14.6 inches


Deuce stock wheel (Gringeltaube):




Going back to the dual spacing graphic on top: Deuce stock rims dualled have 2x 5 3/4 in wheel offset, for a total of 11 1/2 inches. That is BARELY enough for the 11.00R20 tires.

NO!..( There is not enough clearance ,), no clearance and no space causes DANGEROUS overheating of the tires.

I could see going to them dual on a 4x4 that uses 395s on the front. I prefer no adaptor and would look for more offset to get space. Maybe an adaptor to go to the 10 lug 5 ton wheel ?

It's too much for a 6x6 in my opinion, even if you worked out the space. The 12.00 dual and 395 front is a better 5 ton combination..
