1990 M923A2 fuel line return check valve

Had my M9 stored for a while got her running a week ago took a mobile mech to get primed and fired up. ran fine when i stored her. Im not a diesel guy and she can be a little intimidating when your trying figure her out.

The Mechanic told me i had two main issue:

1. I need a new air dyer, yep
2.The mechanic mention a banjo bolt and washer main reason I'm having problems priming and maintaining prime in my fuel pump. He told me Cummins calls it a Fuel Return Line check valve, it sits above the fuel filter

Does anyone have the correct part number for the bolt ad washer the part number i could locate was 3924726 but is for a dodge 5.9L diesel

The check valve or overflow valve is in the outlet or return at the fuel pump. AFAIK, there was not a check valve of any type on the engine mounted filter. Can you take a picture of what he said is the issue? Not the air dryer

Assuming you are talking about the overflow valve circled in the crappy picture of a picture above, my ESN shows the part number superseded to 3963593.

There are aftermarket, adjustable ones available. the better the pressure in the pump gallery, the better it runs. MW, which is what the A2 has uses the same valve as the P pump.
