USAFSS-ColdWarrior I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining of trying to start an argument I was just trying to give CARNAC some back ground info on why my info i did give him wasn't as complete as he wanted.

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was complaining or anything like that, I'm truely thankful and greatful to CARNAC for all the info he was able to fine on this truck. Perhaps the second number that glens working on getting for me will shead some more light on the history of this truck.

Once again thank you CARNAC for all your help in helping me and my wife find out a little more about this trucks history.
Indy:
No problem - I hadn't read it as argumentive... I intended to just throw in some good-natured "fun" with the ADM/ Mothers Against Dyslexia "joke".
I know firsthand just how difficult it can be to find, decipher, read, uncover-layers-of-paint, etc that these vehicle ID's can present to us.
I also understand CARNAC's frustrations and appreciated his humorous attampt to avoid "wild goose chases". Been there, Done that, Got the t-shirt.
No foul - No harm.
Hoping that all of us can have a good laugh, and some comic-relief.

John

Order to my court, order to my court. Sergeant of arms, take forth these two on charges of rebellious debauchery. More thrashing about the head and shoulders for all.

ADM, that was good. LOL

As previously ordered By decree of CARNAC I cut the steering wheel chain off my M923 and flogged myself with it mercilessly 3 times. It is now time to drink Scotch! Thanks CARNAC!

CARNAC,

I was hoping you can help me with mine. It's a M35A2C WO/W that apparently had some sort of extensive overhaul. I've done research here and there's a thread about the origins of the NK0XXX serial numbers but it was never really solved. Mine is titled as a 1989 AM General, but that's the date is was rebuilt and last CARC'd. The new Data plate that was installed is pretty vague as well. Also, I can find no serial number on the frame after extensive searching. I was hoping to get a more accurate/older date of manufacture so I can get a corrected title and a less expensive antique tag. If you can't come up with anything for me, I understand I'll just leave it as is.

A: ID# NK0ECD13043
B: REG# 89K544
C: NSN# 23209260873
D: Where Sold, I bought from an individual, but last trouble report shows location as Dobbins ARB. If that doesn't work, Try Eglin AFB
E: No legible Bumper numbers. Doors have 89K544

Thank you for your time and efforts. Donation on the way. Coon

bumper numbers

Thank you for looking this information up.

I just got what seems to be a M811 SEORL combination. i found the vin number but the truck does not have a data plate. Can you tell me something about the truck? Found glove box lid and it had NN0048 on it.

thank you for looking this up, but serial number has me confused...

I don't know if this would help, i sprayed the front bumber and found:

FRC 14E and HQ 83.

I don't know what to put in the "O" position on this, if it can't be that, it must be a "Q". The way it is stamped it looks like a "O". It is far to wide and looks nothing like the other "0".
This letter "4" looks like a "4' but the striking was done badly. The first 6 digits are vertical and last 9 are horizontal, I have been looking at other vin numbers, could it be the last 9.

A: C41810014
B: NN0048
C: 2320012052667
D: Joint Base Lewis-Mcchord, WA
E: Unknown
Thank you.

This is my first SS post. First, thank you to Carnac, et al for any help you can provide. I just bought an M109a4 from GL. I want to pick it up next week, but I want to insure it. I need the year and a VIN to put an insurance binder on it for the ride home.

Model AM General M109a4, Shop Van without winch

A: Lot number says Serial Number is 504479

B: NSN 2320014506568 from link provided by govliquidation

I Just bought it from govliquidation.com at Fort Meade, MD

NIIN/NSN report from IHS, The Source for Critical Information and Insight (tm)

I can't read bumper numbers.

It would be a huge help to know the year and VIN to get this beast insured for the load-out next week.

THANK YOU from a Deuce newbie!
I found HG-172 on the front bumper. Does that help at all?
