2012 Haspin info/dates/attendance

Talked to steve and figured it out. According to the IN website, If you are coming from the east on 44 into liberty, road is closed. Detour goes north to richmond and then back down on route 1. But the way Steve is talking it is closed between liberty and connersville. Looks like you would be able to get around it in town.

We are going to skip it completely, and stay on 70, then come down on 1.

Anyone traveling through, or originating from the Cincinnati area heading to Haspin on Thursday afternoon/evening?
I am looking for a convoy partner(s).

I might go... its a big might. my girlfriend an I will be visiting my brother and his wife in tipp city ohio for the weekend. its about an hour and 45 from haspin. I would really love to go but i am at the mercy of their agenda kinda. what i could do to push them to go is if somebody had a winch bracket for a deuce. i need the right side part that the winch bolts directly to. Just that one piece. Gimpy had his nose out trying to sniff one out for me, but he has not had any luck either. (thank you for looking gimp). I have had a heck of a time finding one and if somebody had one, i know i could get them to go. Its not something the girls would want to do im sure, but if we didnt stay that long, they would be ok.

I would really like to meet some of you guys. Im sorry to say that if i show up, i might be in either a Honda Fit or a Buick... no deuce... yet

Oh, one more thing, I could use a data plate for my MEP-002A. If you are looking at the access door where the split bolts are, it is the one on the panel below that, on the right. the forklift dinged one on mine before i picked it up from GL. The gen set is like new, so if somebody had one that was like brand new, it would match the others. again, i dont 100% know if i will be able to show up, but if somebody had one they want to bring, i would apreciate it. Thanks!

I should have mentioned my intended route.
I-275 to I-74W
at St. Leon exit take Indiana SR 1 north.
to US 52
through Brookville and Metamora.
to Indiana SR 121 north into Haspin.

or alternatively
I-74W to Indiana SR 229 north to US 52

Sorry, I missed this one. I don't think we need a light. We have a halyard - So we hoist it at sun-up and lower it before dusk. (try to maintain a semblance of military bearing, ya know)

Now, if you have an audio device that can play "Reveille" and "Taps" . . . that would be useful !
