I'm glad it is already titled in my state and only need transferred and doesn't need inspected, because the title shows it as an '87 and your info shows '83. Everything else on the title matches except the year, one of those where it is probably better to let sleeping dogs lie.....

Only thing I see is that if you go to sell it, many states set 1984 or 1985 as the last year to declare as a historic vehicle. It affects some folks decision on purchasing it. I would also say this is the date some (probably) private typed in when they received it.

yes, for historical vehicles it has to be at least 30 years old which according to the title it is not. But after doing my research on various ways to license this it looks like farm truck is the best way for me for now. Can still haul anything within the limits I license it for and no cdl or airbrake endorsements required on a farm truck, plus a heck of a lot cheaper than licensing it commercial for the same tonnage. Then in another 3 years when it is eligible for historical status may be change it then if I'm not using it to haul anymore.
Not to mention full coverage with 10x more liability coverage than required in nebraska only cost me 147.00 pet year through Farm Bureau.

Amazing that my two trucks are truly brothers as they served in sister units under the 450th Chemical Battalion, 209th Regional Support Command, 355th Signal Command... My 923 was with the 369th Chemical Company 4th Platoon out of Waco TX. and my 925 was with the 340th Chemical Company 4th Platoon out of Houston TX.

So it looks like my bumper markings should be something like for my 925:
The left Bumper should read
209th RSC
450th CBN
The Right side should be
340th CC
CM490 This line would be platoon and vehicle number i.e. 4 90 but I don't recall what the CM (which is on my 925) stands for?

Then based of the 925 my 923 would/should be like:
The left side should read
209th RSC
450th CBN
The Right side should be
369th CC
??4?? (based off of what I could make out from the 925's actual markings)

Correct??

If you have pictures of their vehicles then I guess you have it. States normally mark their NG vehicles with ARNG, in this case CAARNG. Yep they belong to the 40 ID. Normally battalion comes before regiment and the bn would be dropped.

Then again, as I've mentioned here before, I knew one brigade headquarters that had 8 vehicles in their motorpool with 8 different bumper numbers formats for the same unit.

CC would be chemical company
CM is chemical in the official type abbreviation.
CBN is chemical, biological, nuclear
