October 20th - 22 is when we will have a magic show and a musical play put on by sock puppets...well maybe none of that (or maybe it will), but we will have a good time in the desert if you like to hang out with good people and enjoy some good food.

Everyone is welcome to hang out even if you have never been out to an event. Come over and say hi.

Bring your cooking grill, plenty of wood for the community fire pit and of course plenty to drink of your favorite beverage (you don't want to go thirsty out in the desert). You can also bring any kind of off road vehicle you like a quad, dirt bike, 4 wheeler, cooking oil powered Tesla, magic carpet, witches broom, elephant, Cummins powered wheel chair, rocket powered Impala, jet ski, Interceptor from Mad Max or what ever mode of conveyance you like to get around on.

We will be having a convoy through the desert on Saturday around 11'ish which makes for real good time and enjoy the view. When we get back from that I'll cook up some carne asada tacos for everyone there. Oh, and for you guy's that like to take in the desert at night there will also be a night run.

Here are the coordinates for camp 35.139213,-117.05533 - Google Maps

This time around we will have a rear wheel drive V8 rally car. If you know where we can purchase a vehicle cheap and in good condition let us know. Preferably a 1998-2011 Crown Victoria or a 1994-1996 Caprice. All are welcome to participate in driving the rally car as long as they pitch in $. Depending on how many people want to drive the rally car and how cheap we can get the vehicle will dictate how much each person will pay, but I estimate as low as $50 a person to $100 a person. We have so far $300 from the sale of the go cart that we used on our last trip that will be put towards the buying of the rally car for this event. It is a lot of fun to do and trust me you will have a smile the whole time you are behind the wheel. Only requirement is that common sense be used while driving the rally car and the use of a helmet. I have a helmet that we can use, but if you have a helmet bring it.

Hope to see you guys out there.

I think Mythbusters made one. Since that show is off the air maybe we can get it for a sweet deal.

I think the magic show might be finding a car that can survive you guys on those roads (and I'm not sure I condone such vehicle-abuse), but I'm sure it'll be fun to watch. Either way - I'll be there (probably Saturday morning).

I don't think we have to worry about **** , but if we get a good downpour out in the desert we should be well prepared with our MV's for any high water.

Just a reminder boys and girls we're still looking for a rally car. Let us know if you guys have a lead on something reliable.

After being harassed  by Prospector GM, I have made arrangements to go. I might only be able to come up for a day trip but I will work out the details soon. I should have a M105 bed on my truck by then, no more tractor
