We wouldn´t be surprised if other SS members taken the time for a new years ride.

Me and my wife took the UNIMOG 406 Aircraft Tug for ride out off the town for lunch.
The location is at the river Havel and operated in the 5th generation since 1892.

We are curious to see some new years rides.
Happy and healthy new year!!!

In summer there is a Biergarten in front of the house. A good place for a cold one.

Hi

Now that looks good, did they have valet parking at the restaurant? My wife would not have gone out with me in one of the trucks this morning on a bet, too cold.

Truck has that nice diesel sound.

Yes, I did take BEAST out this morning for my New Years Day Drive started up after sitting in 10F / -12C since it was last driven on Christmas Day.

Video is a little long, not good at editing down yet.

Cheers Phil

A New Year's day drive in my M35A2 has been a tradition for the four years I have owned this truck. Today it was 17 degrees F when I went out to the barn to fire up the deuce. The starter could barely turn the engine and for the first time I tried the intake manifold flame heater. It worked to perfection, and I was able to start the truck. I gave it a good thirty mile run and the truck was flawless. I apologize for no pictures or videos. I can't wait for this brutal cold snap to cease.

I tooled around in my m998 for a couple errands. She fired right up in 25F after ten seconds time for the glow plugs. (Two seconds longer than normal.). Drove fine and brought me home safe. Chilled though. I think I need to flush the heater core.
