Attention young and old the SoCal Spring Rally is set for the weekend of April 15th - 18th close to Fort Irwin.
Here are the coordinates to the camp 35.139213,-117.05533 - Google Maps
I'll be marking off the campsite with cones so as to not disturb surrounding plant life.

Saltydeuce will be providing the ambiance with a few truck loads of firewood for the community fire pit so we have a warm gathering spot and a place to share scary stories or outright lies.

We will be having a convoy through the desert on Saturday around 11'ish which makes for a real good time and enjoy the view. When we get back from that I'll be grilling up some carne asada for everyone there.

We will take out the Desert racer to see how high we can get it to jump from our homemade ramp(it may be a really good idea or a real stupid one is yet to be determined).

We want to promote being good ambassadors of the desert so we ask that you pick up any trash that you see as well as packing up what you bring out.

I know when we are out in the open desert it's sometimes hard not to get on the gas and get the full experience of the hair blowing in the wind, but please be courteous around camp and around others that want to enjoy it too and not get dusted out.

Hope to see you guys out there.

THOR (and possibly Titan) will be joining. It's been far too long since THOR's been out. Replaced all the rear suspension rod-ends (and front shocks) since last time, runs much more smoothly (for a 5ton) now. Thank You FastNova & SaltyDuece for all your work in bringing us together.

Date is on my calendar, let’s see if I can make this one.

Fluffy is PMS’ing so she’ll most likely stay home
Sgt. D decided to to some time off, so he’ll be staying home.
Lt. Dan ain’t got no legs, so he can’t go.
The other two, haven’t named yet, but looks like they’ll be missing out as well.

so me, I’ll be like Barney Fife, surprise surprise surprise!

I would like to go and bring my m1008. I’ve never done one of these trips. I wanted to make sure it was OK that I go and hopefully find out a little bit more about it on this thread.

Do they still light tires on fire and drag them around camp drunk dusting everyone's gear? If we fixed that, I might come out of retirement.

I'm happy to say that has not happened in a few years (probably since you were last there). Every once in a while we do get the first timers that are not used to camping in a big group, but that is why we teach them how to have a good time without annoying others at camp. We now have a good group that when they see something going on around camp that is unfavorable to the rest of the people attending they put a stop to it and anyone that can't follow the good neighbor rules isn't welcome or is told to leave.
Now with the serious stuff out of the way,. Does anyone want to drive my truck and trailer? Or at least someone who can haul the Desert racer to and from camp? Because with what we have planned I'm not sure the Desert racer will be able to move under it's own power once we have our fun with it. ;):)

I've been in touch with most of my old crew and they all are in to come on out. I'm planning on arriving the 14th and staying until the 19th. The guys from the gun shop can only do 18-19. Should be nice to get the band back together,
