We were really thinking of going, met some good people last year. And really enjoyed seeing their equipment and talking to them. But had to have an act of congress from the owner to go off roading a couple of hours last year, at an “off road park”? And then we read that four wheelers and side by sides were not allowed. Because we thought about bringing the big truck with a couple of four wheelers in the back.
So it didn’t make any sense to us to go.
Really, really enjoyed meeting and talking to all the people who were there last year.
And if anyone is thinking about going to the museum it’s first class.

The sun isn’t up yet and only Mike and I are awake that I can tell. Another great time visiting and seeing everyone along with some new faces. Here are my videos of my perspective of the event:

If you make it 10-15 minutes into the 3rd video you can see the result of stupid people among us. With 5 police vehicles escorting us some idiot still tried to pull out in front of Lincoln causing a near wreck and all of us to brake check. My rear tires bark pretty loud when they skid. I was also told they leave a good sized smoke cloud as well. I wasn’t looking in the mirror at the time to notice.

I wish my truck didn't develop a problem. Just need to figure out how to get me & my buddy home, and a secure place to store to truck until it can get safely towed/trailered back.

So @CallMeColt got his truck running and left under his own power this morning. Hopefully he gets home with no issues!

I made it home and just beat the rain storm. I’ll let the rain pass before I unload my trailer.

Here are a couple of pictures from Saturday. It is always a treat to see the tanks in action at the museum!

I tried something new when making a video of the drive to the museum. I put a wired microphone on the tail light brace of the M715 right next to the exhaust pipe exit. The same basic location sounds great on my Miata and Porsche. I guess 6.2 liters of Detroit Diesel with limited muffler is just too much for it. Anyway, here is the convoy going to the museum:

I tried to edit out the distortion but basically all of the sound was distorted. Then I tried the same microphone a foot or so away from the tail pipe on the Cowdog. Wanting to capture the turbine whine on my drive home with the trailer and M715 loaded. It was a little better but not much:

Do you have one of the windscreens on the microphone?
