My M715 has new wheel cylinders which means the brakes now work again. I even got the brake light to function too! Plus a new tube had to get installed yesterday after a flat last weekend teaching people how to drive a manual off road.

I was hoping to trailer it behind the Whistler M35 Like I used to do for these events. I ran out of funds and time to make that happen this year though. The Cowdog will get to be the pulling and sleeping vehicle again.

We should all be gathered this time a week from now.

Do we want to get convoys lined up for Friday?
I'm taking the dark blue route Friday, so I don't know if I'm going to run into anyone. If someone will be available for me to call in case I get lost over there, please message me your number and name or if anyone has somewhere along the route we can meet.

That said, I'll bring my convoy signs for Saturday!

Oh, I'll be leaving around 0800 Friday morning.

What is the burn policy? Are having "cold camp" or are Propane cookers welcome? Small campfires?

Can @m715mike bring his guitar without spooking the cattle and being runned off?

Propane cookers are fine. We will have a big campfire in the center of gathering. I would prefer no individual fires in the field.

Guitars and fiddles are welcome, singing is encouraged, but will be monitored closely by the bull.

All good. I may bring mine, but a word of warning, I'm a picker and a grinner and I do more grinning than I do picking! 😅😀😁

I am going to change my vehicle line up yet again. I drove the M715 to town yesterday evening and it left a good sized puddle of coolant when I parked. The water pump bearing and seal let go.

I probably have more than a dozen used pumps that I could throw on there here at the house. I only want to do this job once though because access is verrrrry tight in the M715 for the 6.2 water pump. So, despite a long list of upgrades and fixes done the past few monto to the M715 it isn’t going to make this weekend.

That means the M1009 is next up as my only self propelled MV left I am pretty sure will make the 60-70 mile day we have to do Saturday. Except the fuel pump is seeping fuel out the weep hole. Sometimes. I have seen a few drops on the ground. Then other days, nothing. I have crawled under it twice now to change out the lift pump the last 5 months. Each time, the pump is dry so I have left it. I will go at it again tomorrow and see if the pump gets changed or not.

I will trailer it up behind the Cowdog because it is all set up for camping and I like the idea of self recovery if needed.

It’s good to have options!

I'm afraid I'm a last minute back-out as well; I am my uncle's guardian and he is headed to hospital in Corpus right now, so I'll shortly be heading there instead.

I'm bummed because I was looking forward to seeing the folks I've met, and meeting the folks I haven't. Y'all have a ball!

Cheers
