As you plan on "recentering" that front axle in the front fenders, remember why that axle is so far forward in the first place. As I recall from that platform (and I may be incorrect), the main concern is clearance to the oil pan. This is one thing I found with my 8.3 build - the 5 ton chunk is extraordinarily tall.
