5 Ton Batteries are dead!!!! Can I.....

Can I use two spare batteries with a cross over to 24 volts and run jumper cables to the in-truck two batteries to jump it off? Right now the two in-truck batteries will only make the stater go CLunk, Clunk. I would slave it off but my other running truck is 40 miles away. I don't want to screw up my starter.

Yep, if your extra batts are charged up good, you could wire them in series and put the jumpers on them and your in truck batts where the slave wires bolt up.. Don't see how that is any different than using a slave cable so you should be fine.

That is what I do to when I go to a GL site to check things out,works great in warm weather.
