5 Ton injection pump?

I am having to replace the injection pump on my Deuce. I have found a 5 ton pump close to me. The seller says that it should work just fine on my engine. Is this correct? Will it give me more horsepower? If so how much do you think it will raise the hp? Will I need to turn the fuel down to keep from burning up my engine?

Thanks.

Allan, it will work just fine but may push some extra fuel along the way. I'd be leaning towards a pyro just to make sure. If you can tell a seat of the pants difference, get the pyro.

depending on why you think you need to replace the injection pump, you should seriously consider just replacing the hydraulic head. it is far easier to do as you do it right in place, and is probably the only part that may be bad.

Yes, which brings up the next question... What are you going to do with your old pump? Don't throw it away. At least give it to someone who will repair it.

One of my M35's came with a LDS pump. I thought it ran good until I got my M109 with the FDC bypassed. Unless they detuned it, the LDS pump didn't make any more power at all. But that is just my case other may have seen diferent.
