5 ton M923 with ISO bed (?)

So I have a 923. It has the tire carrier behind the cab. Was marked USMC and has a ISO bed. Should it have regular 14' bed instead bc of tire carrier behind cab. And do all beds mount to frame the same. I would like to change it to and non iso since sides and tailgate are hard to find.

Usmc trucks with the ISO beds had the spare tire carrier in the bed itself since the bed is longer. The iso beds sit about in the same spot as the standard 14ft bed for mounting. Can't get any further forward anyway with the exhaust mount there.

Yeah that's not normal or right. Means the iso bed was added later
