Did the tires show and visual or physical signs of problems before the blow outs? Almost every A2 I've seen had creases in the sidewall from sitting flat. Just curious if those did too.

Ok truck is a strong running truck absolutely no problems with truck engine could not get enough run time it really wanted to go.

Robert and I found that even though the ctis was flashing hwy and even going to steady hwy light and I could hear the valves opening letting air through to tires, that in fact it was dumping air and droping tire pressure down below cross country.

Cross country =35psi
Actual tire pressure = 32psi

We unhooked ctis control box aired all tires to 60psi and the tires were happy again ie no more blow outs speed came up from steady 64mph to 68mph.
Again both blow outs were extremely mild truck didn't try stray or anything if wasn't for the god awful flapping noise I could have kept going.
I am very pleased with the truck and it will be another good looking truck when I do some work to her.

A BIG thanks for the help and the moral support even you swamp and your sign got me to laugh when when I was really bummed out
So again thanks everyone.

Loading pics from the phone directly to the site usually doesn't work (site freezes or times out). Using the Tapatalk app from the phone is much faster/reliable.
I was indicating how to attach them with tapatalk.

On a unknown truck?
With tires that are only rated to 55 mph?

Your lucky

Were you also running with scissors during stops?

Tin every time a tire went I was doing about 60 top was 64 until tires were inflated. I've been around these trucks for awhile now the tires looked good with exception of one but it looked no worse than any others I have run for over a year.

If the ctis had kept the air pressure where it belonged I would have I believe made it home with zero issues.

And after getting out of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. I would say truck was not a unknown truck.

If I didn't know truck after two and quarter states I'll never know it.

All things aside, it's great you made it home safe. If the only problems you had out on the road were the tires, then I think this is going to be a good truck.:driver:

Yes I agree to make a 900mile trip and only issue was tires.
Once painted and led lights and cargo cover and new tires it will be a sharp looking truck.
