5 ton steering wheel

Quick question.This 813 thats parked in my driveway has a steering wheel that looks just like the one in my deuce,the new style small one.are they interchangable?The 5 ton wheel's in bad shape and I'd like to put a nicer on on.

Has anyone put a smaller steering wheel in a 800 series truck? I have a hard time getting my leg on the clutch. With power steering I don't think that big of a wheel is needed.

There is a thread out there on the forum about putting the 800 series wheel in the M44 series truck-try doing a search for something like "series AND wheel".

if you loose power steering, you will WANT the big wheel

Are the splines the same between the 5 ton and the deuce steering wheels?

The wheel on my Deuce is 2" in dia. larger than my 813. I bought an x-tra 809 wheel for on my M35, that i'll install with my air assist steering.

I have one NOS small steering wheel for a five ton truck left at $50 + S&H. I think the splines are the same as the 2 1/2 ton truck.
