6.2 Temperature

What is the normal Temperature range of a healthy CUCV (with the heavy duty cooling system). I plan on putting a gauge in for this summer. I want to know when to get concearned (Im sure if the light goes on it too late). ThX

I put a gage in mine too, but I have not run it yet. It should run at +/- what the thermostat is rated.

Ideal temperature in a 6.2 is actually high compared to what you would expect. I think the stat is 190, and they run the best and most efficient at 200 I think. The downfall is, I think its only like 220 or so that you want to avoid. Drop a post over at www.dieselplace.com and you will get some good answers from some guys who really know their 6.2's well.
