I know i have seen threads on alternator problems with 916's. I have to ask for some advise as to the difference in rectifiers pic to follow. I have seen two different models of them? I will be looking to replace with other model. The one in pic is original.new style on right side.will i be able to make it work?

My advice to you is get rid of that piggyback 12/24 converter and get a remote mounted newer version. The OEM unit catches fire. Had happened to lots of us. The alternator itself is fine.
