813 from MI to GA

The time has come to find some transpo for my 813 from MI to GA. I had originally planned to drive it, but it doesn't look like I'm going to have a chance for much time off before Dec. My plan was to get her prepped over leave a month ago so I felt better driving her 750+ miles but my logistics planning fell short and I couldnt get it done.

I had an offer to drive it down from a fellow SS member, which was much appreciated, but I wouldn't feel comfortable having someone else drive it if I don't feel it's ready for the trip to the point where I wouldn't drive it myself. It starts, runs and drives fine. It'd probably make the trip without any major issue, but I'm a preparedness nut and I don't have the time to get it done.

Soooo, I'm looking for a a flatbed haul. I submitted for a quote through a shipping broker (not uship, I'm skeptical after reading reviews), but I'm still shopping around. Any tips? Anyone looking for a backhaul load?

Didn't have much luck through the site similar to uShip or uShip itself. Only two bids and both were far more than I expected to pay. Still looking. Anybody need a load coming back south? 48160 to 30813? It's about 770 miles. Even getting close would be good.

I don't know what you want/expect to pay Sir, but for 770 miles I would say if you get an offer less than $2500 bucks ya done good.
UNLESS you can find a truck up there needing a backhaul.

I have a buddy who dows flatbed transportation, he is licensed and insured if you want I can give you his info...let me know...You can P.M me your contact info and I can give it to him as well...

Thats the problem. I didn't do good. I had realistic expectations, but the few bids I got were not realistic IMHO. I'm still hoping for that backhaul...

$1.75 a loaded mile but wont be able to get to it till the end of Sept! Insured!
