A3 height?

Before the usual suspects blast me for not searching...(is it really that big a deal?)

I searched. Did not find the Height of the exhaust stack and canvas for an A3.

I have a pole barn with a questionable height to fit my soon to be home A3. Is the stack the highest point of the A3 or the bow/canvas top?

I imagine if the stack is, I could simply cut a couple inches off.

Okay, I'll bite, what height is the door? I run my trucks and a backhoe in and out mine and don't put the boom down on the hoe.

My 5-ton 818 will go into my barn as well.

If your new truck doesn't fit, that's a perfect reason to build a bigger barn.

I lucked out, my Deuce with a lift and 53" tires fits in my barn without any clearance issues. :p

Since you asked, Yes it is a big deal. Now when someone else is searching for the height of an A3 they have one more thread to wade thru to find the answer.

Edit: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/67797-m35a3-exhaust-height.html

Found searching M35a3+height. 5th on the list

No twists. Just asking what the height is of the exhaust and what the height of the canvas is on a M35A3. Why is that so hard for old timers to answer without the routine search BS which many of us newtimers do without a satisfactory answer?

I thought this forum was all about helping people?

The data plate lists the overall height 112.9" reducible to 82.2" If you dont know which is higher just go look at a few pics on here and you'll find your answer pretty quikly

Still does not tell me if the stack is higher than the bows and canvas. point being I know how high the stack is, don't know how high the bows and canvas are. I expect if necessary I can take a few inches off the stack to make it fit in my pole barn, but don't want to have to remove the bows and canvas everytime I want to park it in there. I apologize for getting a bit snippy but this search "police" on us new guys is getting real old already. I've never encountered a forum so hostile to new guys just wanting a question answered.
Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology? I mean the stack height vs the cargo cover if that makes it clearer, I looked in the operator manual and frankly it's not there that I see.

It looks like the cargo cover is the highest point.
The research can be a fun part of the hobby. While looking for one item you may learn ten. The guys here do try to help, but hand holding gets "really old" too. If you stick around long enough you'll probably stat seeing things from the perspective of the search police.

Funny, I didn't even mention searching for it yourself.

If it's close, you can also take a couple inches off the bow uprights if you had to.

I would just look at some GL pics of A3s that show the stack and cover, if you know that the stack is 111", you will know if the cover is higher by how much or not, would be faster, easier then getting all round up looking for a answer that may or may not be easy to find.

This site is becoming less and less courteous. I wish, for the sake of all the newcomers, the old timers would just ignore the same ole questions they have heard over and over, not that this is one of them. Search sucks.

I climbed up on the front bumper of my M35A3 for ya. Here is a pic. I would say, the stack might be 2" shorter than the top of the cargo cover. The picture may give an illusion, don't know, but the cover is definitely just a tad bit higher. Hope this helps.

If its just a matter of a few inches and the cargo bows, you could just let some air out of your tires before you put it away. That is if your CTIS is working.
