Gentlemen,
I wish that I could have attended but other priorities happen. Had my children at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure until 9:15 P.M. Looks like another successful get together for the West Central Florida Steel Soldiers. Apparently eleven hours of roller coasters and other rides and 12 times on the river rat barges is all I can stand. We should try the Columbia in Ybor City one of these times. Good food and plenty of parking on the North side. A good convoy down 7th Avenue after would make a heck of a sight

I can't help but think of the WW II Pilot who fell in the restaurant. Cessnatwin I know you got their contact/ meet info. You guys should consider linking up with them and let them go for a spin in the MV's ......you know take them back to the old days so to speak.

A couple days ago I had the windshield wiper and hood trim off of the car (was replacing the AC evaporator) and I got caught halfway home from having the AC charge in a TORRENTIAL downpour, the first REAL summer storm. Well I made it home without dying (all of the electronics were getting wet though, abs had failed, the climate control had a mind of its own, the idle was going nuts). I hit the garage door button and hauled ass into the garage (still not being able to see much). Well I heard a satisfying crunch on the way in. It was the corner of the grille to the car I had just reconditioned. So....no grille. LOL

DALE (ABN173)--what does that stand for??? Also, yes the WWII pilot! I must say I was very proud of you guys and for helping him out. I told that story several times yesterday. Yes he is going to call me and I am taking him to a pilot meeting with me where he will meet several other former pilots with his combat experience. So I am with you and told him if he wants to go I would pick him up in one of the trucks and we would go together! Dale you make me proud of the armed forces, especially the Army, being a Marine and all thats a compliment! (haha)! Pctrans is obviously a Jar Head too!

I was assigned to the 1-508th INF BN (A)(aka: Red Devils) which were part of the 173rd Infantry Brigade (Airborne) for the jump into Northern Iraq in March 2003. so I went with ABN173, I figured it would last ........you know we all see those guys that create a name like "deuce newbie" or something like that, what happens when you have been a member for some years? I know I would not want that kind of screen name forever

I just returned home to Washington, thanks again guys for coming out to meet me on such short notice!
