Abreviations/ military description translation

I am new to the hobby, and found this site. I really enjoy it, it is full of information. Being a new guy, I don't know what all the abreviations stand for. Is there a list somewhere? I also would love to see a place with pictures of all the different vehicles and trailers in one spot with descriptions. It is hard to know what else I want without knowing they exist (I am sure the list is long). Is there a list that has the vehicle code #'s with a description of what it actually is? Example: M35a2 = truck...commonly called deuce.....21/2 ton truck....blah blah (picture). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
