Ad Hoc Worklight

I had this photo sent to me. This was at a Army maintenance building. It consists of a wheeled office chair base, a GP small tent pole, a block of wood, two work lights and some wire with battery clamps.

This looks like a good Soldier B flashlight holder. Simple, crude, effective.

The abilities of the the American soldier to overcome never ceases to surprise me.

Thanks, it is all I needed was another project, but it is very cool and handy! I have the lights and all I need is to get the rest of the stuff. The only improvement I will make is to make the height adjustable for working under vehicles or over them.

Yep, I'd say it only goes down to about 4 feet but it should extend up to 7 feet or maybe a little higher.

I see only one problem with this light for most people. Those wrecker work lights can be quite expensive. Other lights could be easily adapted

I have a bunch of 12 volt emergency lights like you see in public buildings and stores....already in a metal case.........................hummmmmmmmm

Just find a magnet to mount it to and you can have light wherever you want it.

I liked the idea so much, I built a set for another members contact truck.
also built a abrasion resistant slave cable set while I was at it.

Excellent idea, even better if they wee LED lights which have to work better than those darn work lights you get from Home Depot. Every time I bump one of them they burn out.
