Did this on my last deuce and as soon as I pick up 2 red lens markers I'll be doing it on my current deuce along with wiring the front ( amber) park lights to come on with the headlights

expensive ?

I'm going to eventually do the same thing. I'm going to wire the setup by using the existing mounted lights in the area and use a connector adaptor/splitter to power them.
I was going to use those 3 way adapters, but by the time I priced out how many I'd need, it was way cheaper to make harnesses (1 for each front light, 1 big one for the rear, run along the existing harness). I used the regular connectors to "T" the new harnesses in where there was an existing connector. Used the 3M self vulcanizing tape around all the solder splices in the new harnesses to make sure everything stayed water tight.
