thanks . knew had seem them somewhere. Used a good reverse image search engine (not just googles, it misses ton of stuff) to search the pics and nothing came up. Appears tech giant facebook somehow is blocking reverse image search engines. hmmmmm???

anyway.... had searched with facebook's search tools for CITS Covers as well as CTIS protectors...... nothing came up for post or pics..... but then again facebook search engine SUCKS. think you have to search by EXACT wording or it won't find shiat.

Thanks again
follow up... all those postings on Facebook are from someone who purchased them and just likes them. He does not make or sell them. Thus why he says PM him to pass on info.

Have now talked to Maker/Seller who is looking at production.... so far; even with overseas production ....... they are SPENDY but HIGH quality. Seller has has good pallet-able shipped roof rack setups in the works too. Seems like nice guy

Did he ever share the supplier? A TON of people asked him about them but all I ever saw returned was "PM sent"....
Yeah he gave me the info. Used it to contact the fella (Matt) the designer, seller directly.... he is taking pre-orders to get enough to get them manufactured overseas. Seemed like a nice fella to me. Not sell gimicky kind of conversation at all. More of an engineer type. The german type lol.... that thinks do it right or not at all... thus spendy. kinda like the Difference between Unimog Daimler Benz and Stewart Stevens LOL. He has the two needed stamping dies made already. One is for making them for steel rims... one for aluminum rims since they are slightly different.

PM me and can give you Matt's number. He has no desire to compete with MWME price. (his are double that of MWME)

They just officially hit public advertising stage. $250 per wheel... $50 off per wheel if you get in on the pre-order. Matt also has bolt on roof rack/w ladder too that is sweet. Bolts to the rain gutters ... good solid ol' school design

PS- US seller.... while manufactured over seas..... it is NOT CHINA far as I can tell. Maybe Turkish manufacture??

Ouch, a bit rich for hub caps..

Still, I support folks who make their own wears to sell.

I still say that a flat ring on stand-offs is the way to go, though. Pity that MWE didn't put a bit more effort (and a forth mounting point) into their design.

Saw the FB ad.

Not a bad looking product. I kinda favor the OEM design (or just a flat ring) as you can pull a tire w/o removing the cover, but that's not a huge deal.

His roof rack is also interesting. While I'm not a fan of bolt-together stuff like that, it should help keep shipping down. Not sure about how the part "floats" in front of the truck having no support (the entire rack unit mounts to roof via rain gutter clamps). OK for carrying stuff, but I'd not want to hit any heavy brush head-on with it. Nothing that couldn't be modified to add a couple forward brace/mounting points. I'm not tracking the concept of how the ladders are "folding" though. Price isn't listed, so I suspect they won't be cheap.. With the cost of shipping these days, the local fab shop might be the more reasonable solution. But it's great to see competition in the market for this stuff....

Hi, fellows I need to apologize for not providing sufficient pictures of the front guard support. I wish you guys had more faith in me.:(((( I can assure you it is there but it is hiding pretty well, but now at least we know that some people are paying attention to details. There is also a concern about this roof rack being bolted together which did not satisfy a gentleman but if you really think about it, truck frames are also bolted together and bridges also get bolted or riveted which gives the structure more flexibility.

I the designer and builder of this roof rack aimed for ease of transportation and installation of the roof without compromising the structural integrity of it.
By the way, I improved the functionality of the roof rack by adding flipping ladders to both sides of the cab so you can climb up easily without performing any gymnastics. I also added about 22 brackets for lights antennas and cameras. I will upload pictures soon and point out where that bracket has been hiding.

Hi guys I am the one designing, building, and selling the CTIS covers for the LMTV and FMTVS, they are not welded they are stamped and with the right hardware, they could be used either on steel or aluminum rims as well as on original hubs or eco hubs. Yes, I did not advertise them and yes I thought of taking preorders but then I changed my mind because of how things were going in the world with COVID-19, etc. I did not want to take preorders to take anyone's money and not be able to provide my promise so I financed and built all the products and now I can put my hands on them and hand them over to whoever wants the items. Yes, they might be a little pricier compared to other products but they are cheaper in the long run and the quality is there I did not cut any corners I made sure I produced a product that I will use for myself and I can be proud of while promoting it to others. Please drop in if you are close to PA and check out all my products so you can see the quality for yourself. Will provide pictures.

There's a guy supposedly selling these on FB.

No info other than it's in every military vic and LMTV group.

It's one of those "I'll have to PM you the details" things (which means it's typically shady or embarrassinglyView attachment 871389 over-priced).

;)

I have produced them and have them ready to ship each cover is 200. The hardware is 50 for steel rims and 75 for aluminum rims. Cover can be used for both steel and alunimum rims as well as eco hubs or regular hubs.

Thank you for your understanding. Production took a while with catching up and supply chain recovery from covid.

That grill mounting point doesn't seem that structural to me - also not sure if it would fit the A1R grill...... If I were designing this I would put some large plates against the front of the cab to spread the load and riv-nut them in place. I'm not seeing anything supporting the whole front other than the grill mounting piece. What's keeping a sizeable branch from tweaking the whole thing if it hit's the corners above the headlights? I get that you wanted it entirely bolt-on but that seems like it's not going to handle much in terms of defeating obstacles that would actually present a risk of cab damage, etc.

It looks like where he is bolting them on thru the grill is where the cab tilt hinge is bolted to the cab... Fairly robust there, probably as much as anywhere else on the cab...

Hhhhmmm I only see one spot right in the center of the grill which (on my A1R) is a really wimpy little sheet metal bracket to bolt the grill to.

To anchor at the tilt brackets would be excellent but you have to cut holes in the grill for that.

On an A1 yes. The 3rd pic of this last set appears to be an A0 grill and you can see the round part of the pivot right below the bracket…

It looks like an optical illusion in that pic..... The pic posted earlier seems to show just a single mount to the flimsy grill attachment point that is front and center. No visible attachment to the cab pivot brackets. That's where I recently moved my ground to.

To attach to these would require cutting either style of grill. But would be a much better choice if you make it clean.
