it should be as I put osme pliers on mine and it came right off. guess it's time for a new one.

Pat, I used a strap type oil filter wrench on a real tight one once, it worked for me. I have only ever had a problem with that one.When I got it off, it had a sealant all dried out on the threads, some driver must have hated a loose knob and locktited it but good. John T
