Hey all, I just picked up a front end loader, a 1984 CASE MW34C, renewed in 2009.
The brakes started smoking 20 minutes into my first drive (as I drove out of the mechanics shop that was supposed to get it in working order). The entire time the brakes were applied, no wonder I could only go 5mph .
I've learned quite a bit about the brake system in the past 24 hrs. The pedals seem to be appliying and releasing pressure just fine. I opened the bleeders at the calipers and fluid shot out so the brake fluid remained under pressure. Then the loader moved fine until I applied the brakes and the stuck again.
Trying to diagnose if it's in the air system or hydraulic system. Pressure is sticking on both front and rear brakes, is there a reason air pressure would remain in the line even if I hear the air release at the pedal?
My other best guess is that both master cylinders are sticking.
Can anyone teach me what I don't understand?
