Air System Relay Valve Leaking At Bottom White Disc

So are these relay valves rebuildable? TM don't get into specifics, but my rearward one has a small leak. I can press on the disc and the rubber that is surrounding it and make it stop. It don't appear damaged or as if it could even seal by that piddly rubber surround. Maybe there is a seal above the white plastic disc and rubber surround as it seems impossible for that rubber surround to be what would actually hold in air. It bleeds off about 30 psi/hr.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is leaking is the purge/ dump valve on the relay valve. They are generally not rebuild able and at work they get replaced when they start to leak. There are a couple of things you can do it just depends on how much time you want to spend on it. The first is just replace the valve and be done with it. It you want to try something that might and I say just might work you could try cleaning it up. The way to do that is to remove the intake airline to the valve as far upstream as possible and fill it with something like CRC Brake Klean. Then reconnect the line and cycle the brakes. The solvent may clear the crud out of the valve. Since the valve is at the bottom of the housing things can get stuck and cleaning the port sometimes solves the problem.

You will get more help with all your air system problems if you keep 1 thread rather that starting a new thread for each little thing . It is all one system . Most people won't jump between a bunch of threads to figure out what you have done and haven't done .

Good call. It is somewhat different than before with that unloader valve issue but does make sense to keep it all together.
