And increasing the grip lengths will prevent that breakage.
I don’t think so, the early PS brackets had a long bolt, they alway broke, and were bent to boot….irregardless, the stud on the exhaust is a piss poor design, it was redesigned and I no longer see the support arm failures.

I think Coug and RWH are correct, stabilizing the rear so all that weight is not "working" on the front mount is the key.

"Adding a spacer will change the pulley to belt alignment"

The spacer goes under the head of the bolt, like a washer.
