I personally Feel yalls pain.I had some of the same problems when i got my M1008 one of the prior owners of my M1008 Tried to hook the batteries up Wrong instead of doing it in a series like it was suppose to be. That epsiode Burnt the fusible link on the firewall at the 12volt block burnt the one one on the back of the #2 alt and proceded to burn the neg cable going to the block i just found that out Cleaning up connections this past weekend i got lucky i found a guy here locally who had a couple of the CUCV alts i had both rebuilt so far so good Cost me $220 to rebuild both of them now i see how easy the parts are to get im gonna try and rebuild one on my own :]
