Since I don't necessarily have a cat in this fight, perhaps a little tail twisting is in order. I would beg to point out that a Unimog S404.114 was rated at a gross weight of 11,000LBS with load, and can pull up to 21,000 on a four wheel trailer...not fast, but it will pull. And might I suggest taking your pulling contest off the pavement, the only time you need FWD on pavement is in deep water or snow, and you may be a little short of both at this instant. As the magnetic sign on the rear of my S404.114 states "Hummer and Land Rover Recovery Vehicle", I've done both, and you might want to check the grade of bolts used in your tow hooks and bumpers, they do break all too often under a Unimog and a C-130 extraction strap's pull.....Please permit me to point out that I used to run my Unimog across 3 foot deep lakes in Texas, much to the consternation of the boaters, so pulling a bass boat trailer up a ramp might not be anything that a 40 HP Model T Ford wouldn't be able to accomplish.
