Finalizing layout before drilling holes. It’s always fun to drill on a finished product... 🙄. At worst you remake it... 🤬. And some of the first drawer sliders getting installed.

😱😱😱 Let the jigsaw puzzle 🧩 begin! There are 15 panels for the drivers side, and while I was assembling I made a sixteenth for a small storage shelf. While there is finally some relief, there was quite a bit of 🤬 and some WTF while trying to figure out how to get all the panels in and tighten up all the hardware. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃

"Some assembly required" is the price to pay for any worthwhile project, and this one looks well worth it!

Checking the pics and happened to notice the sport boat on the trailer -you know, a drift and all, please forgive this- but:

- What you got, ski boat? Fishing skiff?

I believe the better classification would be a PT Boat... except fiberglass instead of ply.

All the measuring for the aluminum was to create this storage cabinet using 8 large rectangular milk crates for drawers. There will be a latch to hold them in place. I’m thinking of putting a plywood face on them for a more finished look.

It sure looks great, Mad Texan!

For my two bits, the milk crates look just fine like they are:

- The bonus also is that you can see what's IN the crates (that you won't be able to do if they get a panelled front).

It's a thought... I'm going to think about it. Plenty of other things to do currently.

Yep, that’s more saw dust... 🤦‍♂️. Decided to get going on the drawers, one 10” and three 5” ones. This was a dry fit and test in the cabinet. Now I need to glue and nail them together and apply some finish. I ordered hardware for them today as well...

Progress on my drawers, I added a finger hole to pull them open with, I rounded most of the sharp edges on the router table, sanded, glued and nailed them together, added some braces for strength and to keep them square, sanded again and finally started the finish process. Two coats so far... still waiting on my hardware. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃

Thanks for the info I've heard that stuff works well! I was just at Woodcraft the other day. The drawers actually will be mounted on soft close drawer slides and hopefully, fingers crossed, have no contact with each other.
Got you, Mad Texan, now you're going First Class!! That would match all the other details, I should have known!

I was thinking maybe they were just going to slide on a plywood shelf. But you got it all going A1 style!!

I appreciate the compliments! But for the price it just seemed nicer! They have gone up since I bought mine...

Fitting in the drawers! They still need some adjusting but they work pretty good. They need some hardware to keep them in place while on the road, just waiting for it to come in. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃

Trying to keep knocking through some things while waiting on materials to be delivered. Mounted the sliders for the table slider under the counter with the aluminum angle, I mounted the fridge sliders and mocked up the aluminum which will double as support and the fridge hold down when finished, and I finally mounted a piece of aluminum to support the end of the bed. I still have to reinstall the insulation and cover it with ply under the bed but now it won’t get scratched. Finally getting the scrap wood out that’s been supporting it... 🙄. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃
