Another M1010 owner

Finally decided to drill some holes! As suspected there is a lot of material to anchor into (1/4”). I matched up one hole to an existing rivet and then drilled the additional hole. Used 5/16 plus-nuts for solid mounting points. #m1010 #cucv

Plugging away at some wiring. Circuit breaker and solar charge controller installed. Wires are run up to the rack but need to be secured. Rack hopefully installed for a while. Hopefully some panels soon... didn’t feel like doing them with the sun beating down and 90 degrees. #m1010 #cucv

Been working on the erector set on the roof! A bit of a challenge getting all the hardware installed on the bottom side of the panels, but all secure now. Still some wires to secure but we’re starting to function. A little testing on two panels (15.6a) and then with the engine running (41.63a). #m1010 #cucv

Thanks! The two screen shots are from the Victron app and the BMS app. I didn't buy a kit, it's all been individually sourced. I built the house LifePo4 battery myself and finally getting all the components together.

Finally back at some woodworking, making some door panels for the cabinets. I think I’ve finally found a latch for them that I like. It has a detent to hold them in place opened or closed. More holes to drill and Waterlox them. #m1010 #cucv

Finally getting around to an update. Cabinet doors have been sanded, tack ragged, and received 3 coats of Waterlox on both sides. Been working on a door stop for them to keep them from rattling and currently waiting on some parts. #m1010 #cucv

I’ve been waiting for a while for a shipment from Australia, ordered 10/5. It finally showed up! A Sherpa 4x4 @4x4sherpa Steed 24v 17k winch with a synthetic line. I also picked up a @factor55 XXL shackle. All this will be mounted with a @engineered_vintage winch mount which ties into the CUCV shackles and frame as well as the steering box on the drivers side. Now if I can get the weather to hold out a little longer. #m1010 #cucv

Air hammered the rivet heads off for reinforcing plates for the CUCV shackle mounts. Test fitting, drilling out the rivet holes and installing new hardware where the side plate ties into the frame. Then a quick test fit of the winch plate. #m1010 #cucv

I got my radiator back! I spy some bigger tubes in there! Working on getting things back together. The new core fills the tanks out nicely! I also upgraded to a Haden HD fan clutch and a Derale 6 blade fan to complete the project. #m1010 #cucv

Found a little massaging was needed for clearance. While the Sherpa Steed 17K winch does fit between the frame rails, when centered the motor needs some more room for clearance. Admittedly the motor on mine looks different than pictured on their web site. Also got the control box mounted and starting to run wires. #m1010 #cucv
