Antenna mount

Usually, most radios are mounted on the passenger's side of the truck, on the floor, and it would be shorter cabling to mount the antenna on the passenger side. However, as long as your cables are long enough, either side works.

It is, but there are dealers out there with oodles of cables of all lengths, I have seen 50 foot and 100-foot cables for VRC-12 series radios. Would be easier just to buy a longer cable than make one.
