I realize most cannot reply to the Classifieds, and I don't want to run afoul of the no-advertising in the general forum rules, so if you are interested in talking about custom made tarps please start a conversation with me or hit the Like button here and I will reach out to you.

Why am I asking:
I have a lot of medium weight MilSpec (MIL-PRF-20696) Buy America Berry Act compliant PVC vinyl material on hand. It is what my current production desert tan and green soft slant backs are made out of. I am trying to get through inventory faster, so I can buy the exact same material as another HMMWV related fabric producer, so we will have complimentary materials and our products will match and be completely compatible. I cannot afford to buy hundreds more yards of PVC right now, so am looking for ways to speed up consumption and sales of my existing material.

Enter the idea to make and sell tarps. I made a tarp for myself and it is holding up great. It lives outside and looks good as new months later.

Colors available are desert tan or OD green. I do not have bulk material in other colors at this time. Certainly if there is enough interest in other colors, I can get more, but I'm not trying to become a tarp manufacturer.

ALL tarp materials are Made In USA compliant; vinyl, thread and even the grommets (purchased from what appears to be the LAST grommet manufacturer in the U.S.). These grommets are 1/2" ID solid brass, not cheap aluminum or steel that will tear or rust. All seams are double stitched with milspec thread.

Tarps will be made to order at $15 per linear yard of material. The rolls are 60" wide , so one linear yard yields a tarp ('tarplet'?) 3' by 5'. A two yard long tarp, two rolls wide would measure 6' x 10', give or take seam allowance. Cost for this would be $60, plus shipping. I can fold something this size into a USPS flat rate box, most likely. Grommets will be space every 3 feet unless otherwise requested. This price is in the middle ground for custom tarps, and reflects what I can afford given my low volume purchasing power (lack of purchasing power). My material differs from other's in that it is genuine MIA MilSpec.

I welcome feedback. Mods: if you prefer this post be shared another way, or not at all, please tell me and I'll make the appropriate edits/changes.

Best to all,

Tarp (noun): a rectangular swath of fabric with a hemmed edge and grommets. Intended to be draped over something to keep the weather at bay.

My offer has caused some confusion.

I'm offering rectangular tarps with a folded hem/edge and evenly spaced grommets at $15 a linear yard. I am not offering bed covers, trailer covers or any other fitted and fastenable items (except HMMWV Soft Slant Back kits).
