I am finally getting to the fuel projects I have planned for my truck. Driver side tank, upgraded spin-on fuel filters and external fuel pumps.
I'm planning on removing the in-tank pump & screen and replace it with a steel pickup tube.
I would like to plumb in some sort of garbage filter before the external pump.
Does anybody have any suggestions what I might use? Maybe something see through ... but it must be accessible and easily replaced. I have an M-105 bed on the truck, so clearance between the bed and tank is fairly limited.
BTW ... I found a couple cheap sources for these airtex fuel pumps:
This place has them for 30.00 plus shipping: FORGET THESE GUYS. PUT OF STOCK.

Northern auto has them for $40.00 plus shipping:

There is some difference between the E8135 (gas) and the E8131 (diesel), but i don't see that it makes a whole lot of difference which on you choose.
